Sarah Rachel Brown is a contemporary jeweler currently residing in Philadelphia, PA where she is a member of JV Collective, a collaborative contemporary jewelry studio. Beyond her studio practice, Sarah contributes to the contemporary jewelry field through her podcast Perceived Value, as the Metals Coordinator for the Pentaculum Residency at the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, and as Art Jewelry Forum’s US Ambassador. Sarah was an artist-in-residence at the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts from 2015 – 2016, she completed the two-year Core Fellowship at the Penland School of Crafts from 2013- 2015, and a 3-year apprenticeship with Seattle based jeweler, Sarah Loertscher from 2010-2013. An adornment artist, Sarah’s work has been selected for exhibitions such as Earrings Galore at the Heidi Lowe Gallery (DE), Touch at the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts (TN), Metal IV at Light Art+Design (NC), and The Contemporary Jewelry Show at the Penland Gallery (NC).
